A proper butcher block, in golden teak. At 38mm thick this one has serious heft — it sits dead flat, doesn't wobble, and takes heavy chopping without chipping or flexing. The end-grain surface shows the wood's cross-section as a mosaic of blocks in warm caramel and honey, each one facing the knife with its fibres upright so the blade slips between them rather than scoring across them.
A juice groove catches drips around the edge, recessed handles are cut into the sides for lifting, and the finish is natural teak — no paint, no wax. Teak is naturally oil-rich, which is part of why it's held up in kitchens and boat decks for centuries.

Care & seasoning
Hand wash in warm soapy water and dry upright — never soak a solid wood board, and never put it in the dishwasher. Oil every few weeks with food-grade mineral oil to keep the grain rich and guard against drying or splitting. Small knots and tonal variation are natural characteristics of real timber, not defects.

What is your returns policy?
You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return any unused item for a full refund — longer than the 14-day right of withdrawal guaranteed under EU consumer law. Items must be in original condition with all packaging and tags intact. To start a return, email help@pierrecasaboutique.com with your order number and we'll send you instructions. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of us receiving the item.

We accept all major credit and debit cards, along with Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Shop Pay. All payments are processed through encrypted, PCI-compliant gateways, and your card details are never stored on our servers. All prices are shown and charged in euro, inclusive of VAT.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
Get in touch as soon as possible at help@pierrecasaboutique.com with your order number. If your order hasn't yet entered processing we can usually amend the shipping address or cancel it outright. Once it's been packed and dispatched we're unable to make changes, but you're still covered by our 30-day returns policy once it arrives.
